  • Input-level on Fender Frontman 212R

    Hello there!
First of all, I do not have any a lot of knowledge about building or changing electronics myself, but I am able to use a screwdriver and solder well enough. I have a Fender Frontman 212R, which I use primarily for my Stage Piano with Rhodes sounds. Now I got a second keyboard (same Company, same output) which I want to use for e-piano and organ together with the first.
To my question: The inputs of the Frontman have different sensitivities. I would like to have an adapter on the frontman to have the same sensitivity on both inputs, but I have no clue what I have to do to achieve this, exactly. I would appreciate your help!

Have you tried it? The two jacks are purposely wired so one is 6bd less sensitive. Plugging into the one or the other sets this. If you plug into one, then move to the other, yes there will be a volume difference. HOWEVER, if you plug into both jacks, they cannot adjust the sensitivity, they both should wind up the same. NO changes required. Try plugging into both jacks at once and report back.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
