Not meaning to spam but this is something I've had in development for the last year. Two products actually -
I make a foot switch for these amps that is designed to plug into the MIDI In port. This was originally supposed to be a custom one-off for George Lynch's Diezel Herbert, but discovered there was a bit of a demand for them while I was doing the required R&D to make it happen. I also discovered that the same code I wrote for the Herbert foot switch could be adapted to VH4 and Hagen versions of the same foot switch. George owns the prototype of these foot switches and I've just released them available for order. There is a 4 week lead time on these.
The second product came about during the R&D and testing phase of the above mentioned foot switch. It seems that some users that have MIDI controllers with an "instant access" button feature wanted a way to be able to assign their controller's IA buttons to each channel and function rather than having to switch everything in "patches", then having to remember which patch holds which configuration. Some of us just want on the fly control of each individual thing. However, their stock firmware did not implement MIDI CC compatibility. I took the opportunity to completely rewrite their firmware to include MIDI CC compatibility to allow assigning IA buttons to each channel and function on the amp (along with a few other small improvements to the user interface and MIDI data handling) and I now offer this as a replacement controller chip for the Herbert, VH4, and Hagen amps.
Figured I'd mention these items for any of the tech guys here who happen to own or work on these amps so they're aware of what is becoming available.
I will be releasing the firmware upgrade chips on August 15th and they will be available for immediate shipment. For more details, visit us at http://www.facebook.com/wilderamps
