I'm looking for some mod information for increasing the gain internally on my Sovtek Mig 50. I have already hardwired new identical potentiometers as they were going bad. I use a 1/4 inch mono female to 2 1/4 mono male jack to patch the input channels together and a Boss MT2 metalzone with eq and volume at 12 oclock and the gain 25 percent up to over drive the amp with out altering the tone. volume knob 1 on the amp does distort midly if cranked but cleans the tone up too much so I use it barely. volume knob 2 cranked gives it the majority of the gain. Maxing out at a AC DC tone If I do not overdrive with pedal. I would like to modify the amp to have a stronger distortion closer to a JCM 800 instead of its 59 bassman roots. I understand there is a 1 wire mod not sure what it does or how to do it. Also a Master volume knob also not sure how its done. Thanks!
