Marshall AVT50 cd input too loud

Hi

Ive got a friend who as asked me to look at his amp. Marshall AVT50. CD input is too loud. I don't know what he is using. I will update this when i get a reply from him
he wants a seperate control for the cd input. The amp is for his bedroom studio and he don't want to change the cd player

I only really do this sort of thing for friends and fun and don't have many parts. so i will have to buy the pot and other components. As you can guess i want to have a good
guide to what parts i need to order

Can anyone help ? with a schematic or wiring diagram

Many thanks Ill get him to do buy this. Im replacing the blown TDA output chip as its smoked up. saves me from taking the main pcb board out
