  • 65 Princeton reverb reissue Power transformer pn# 75165 Where can I get one ??

Hi all ! I am looking at rebuilding a 65 PRRI and am looking for a power transformer #0075165000 I asked Fender for one they told me to use a suitable after market one ?? So If I cant buy one could anyone help me find out what would work, I want to use the Allen TO22 OP as a upgrade but keep the PT stock as I dont want to change the true character of the amp too much and have a 4 ohm tap would be nice...I was looking at Allen's PT25 but read that it does change the character of the amp... I am also considering using just stock replacements if I can find them Angela is out of the stock OT at this time....Anyone know where I can get stock replacements ??

Does this look like the stock one? Transformer - FenderŪ Replacement, Power, 325-0-325 V, 70 mA | Antique Electronic Supply

That's where I buy the majority of my parts. Fast reliable and accurate service too.

I know that's a replacement for an original PR, but not sure on the PRRI if it's spec'ed a little differently

Thanks Mort, I do a lot of business with them too. Amplified Parts also.... I believe it is a bit different, that's my million dollar question, Maybe its just size that makes them uncompatable ? I'm not sure,,,, I was hoping maybe we had a Fender authorized service man in the crowd that could shed some light on this for me TAM carries the correct reverb driver but the OP and PT # are different on the PRRI...

The "real" transformer for the reissue is a controlled inventory part - we cannot order one unless we have a serial number for the amp it is going in.

I would suspect that physical fit is the issue with the replacement.
