  • Relay wiring for Vox Night Train mod

    Hi everyone!
First post on this forum, embarrassing myself with a very ignorant/easy question
I'm modding my Vox Night Train with a relay controlled foot switch. However the relay I have doesn't correspond exactly to the rather simplistic instructions on www.valvetronix.net/forums/night-train-thick-switch-footswitch-mod-t3946.html . The schematic for my relay looks like this:

Size:	45.6 KB

Whereas the mod instructions display this:

Name:	vox_mod.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	270.5 KB
ID:	870234

I'm guessing the 5 and 2 wires should run to 11 and 21 on my relay... or should they?
I've built quite a few stompboxes but I don't have a technical background so schematics sometimes confuse me.

Many thanks for all and any pointers!

Unfortunately, the prints posted are not schematics.
A schematic would be a lot more informative.

The posts are more of a 'Layout Diagram'.

The relay that you have appears to have normally closed (NC) contacts between pins 11 & 12 / 21 & 22.

    The NT Mod appears to have pins 4 & 5 / 1 & 2 NC.

    If pins 5 & 2 are the Common terminal, they will then switch to pins 5 & 6 / 2 & 3.
Prove it out with a meter.

    Then follow the cheesy diagram.

      Brilliant, thanks!
