  • Trying New Speakers/replacements

I have a Bugera 2x12 combo. It sounds a little cloudy, not so clear. I want the clean Fender Twin sound. Which replacement speakers are suggested. I want it to sound good at low volume. Is a heavy speaker or higher ohm speaker better or worse for getting that clean clear sound. IM hearing contrary opinions. Thanks in advance if anyone has any advice here. shootingstarno

    It's not a speaker problem.

Use it as is, picking the cleanest setting.

If clean is very important for you an couldn't care less at heavy overdrive, then get a classic Fender or Fenderish amp.

Not even a modern Fender (such as a Blues Deluxe or deville) will do.

What model Bugera do you have? They have a few 2 X 12 amps. I don't think you will get nice clean Fender tones out of it.
Turn it up so that everything is louder than everything else.

Behringer was not trying to emulate a Fender sound with their Bugera amps.

I agree with Juan, but even if you were to shop for speakers, they are very subjective. Ther are not right and wrong ones. No, impedance would not be an issue.

The only real way to get an idea of speakers is to play through as many as you can.. You can unplug the existing speakers and connect the amp to other cabs for this. But really, get a fender if you want Fender tone.
