Hey All,
While the VT-40 is in the shop getting tuned up - I picked up a set of Yellow Jackets to have some fun with when I get the amp back.
Upon closer inspection I find literature online that reads "for use in an amp that has 520 volts or less plate voltage"
Reasearch has shown that the VT-40 is putting out 565 or so.
What would happen if I used them ? would they fry ? (the El84's that is - or the Yeloow Jackets themselves ?)
I've had one person say
Anyone here have an opinion ?
Thanks, Dan

"check into using 7189's instead of 6BQ5's--according to RCA they'll handle more plate voltage, but I'd make sure before firing it up
Thanks, Dan
