    It’s on a Fender Deluxe with a circuit board dated 1996.
    See picture.

    R10, 1.5K has been taken out, W4 removed
    A cap added, measures 26UF in circuit so I assume 22UF, which is connected with the negative to the top R10 location, positive to the bottom W4 connection, R10 1.5K mounted across the cap.
    A jumper wire connected from the bottom R10 connection over to the bottom of R17

    It's all about the bass. Lock in the groove and stay out of everyone else's way.

    If it's a hot rod deluxe it looks like they tied the 2 cathodes together with a bypass.
    But then again I'm not expert.

      I've seen it several times. My conclusion is that it is factory original.
