Time for an update,I have been practicing with the amp and it sounds great.The only issue I have is that I now have to turn it up to about 6 to be heard with the band and we don't pratice very loud.I changed the V1 plate resistors to 100k,I understand this will lower gain if no other changes are made.The presence control is a real plus,the switchable Cathode/fixed bias is also a plus.I installed the bias adjust pot so that it is accessible on the chassis bottom with tip jacks located near by.The boost switch problem I'm sure is due to a trace that I boogered up,always check for a clean hole on the board and any residual solder if reusing parts.I really dig this amp now its great for classic rock and blues,add a Rt.66 and Dan Echo pedals a Yamaha AES1500 and stand back.My tele sounds just as good.
