  • Another Fender Classic 30 thread

Hey everyone, new to these parts. My name is Kevin and I am from Seattle, WA.

Question is: I would like to get a little more gain out of my freshly purchased Classic 30. I am going for a real hot drive. Is that possible with this amp?

I mostly like to play rock, and I bought this amp because it was made in the USA and I got it for 400 dollars brand new. I am not nearly as educated or saavy as you guys seem to be. However, I am comfortable with a soldering iron on PCBs. I would definately feel comfortable doing any mod as long as it well spelled out.

If anyone wants to help a newbie out, I would really appreciate anything to get me goin in the right direction. Also any advice about what tubes or anything would be great!!

P.S. I have searched around and have not fount specifically what I am after. Thanks!

    Um...

Peavey makes the Classic 30, not Fender.

Go over to Steve's www.blueguitar.org and check out a whole pile of cool Classic 30 projects.
