i have 4 different 5-15 watt guitar amps. all 4 are solid state. my question was is there any way i can up the wattage of one of them. like can i rip out the power supply and put in a louder one or something like that. this is completely new for me so any help would be much appreciated.

I would say that the only practical way to get more sound pressure level out of your 15W SS amp is to switch to a more efficient speaker. Or you could hook them up to play two or more of your small amps at the same time.
However, you are probably better off to buy another amp that gives you the performance you want.

Solid state amp design and tubes are like comparing apples an oranges.
Solid state amps work off of positive and negative rails. The only
way to get more kick is to beef up the rail. Lots of problems crop
up. Solid state bipolar device are not forgiving, to errors. They
pop quickly, since the interact with each other.
A good speaker is the sure method, of volume.
Some time ago a had a Peavy with a 10 inch speaker. I wanted
more bottom end growl. I tampered with the circuitry and only
managed a nasty distortion. Later I relocated in a house with
all sorts of guitar goodies. I connected the Peavy to a stack,
when the Tele wasn't squaling the tone was awsome.Comment
