        The Bassman 10 amps I've seen had very cheesy, tiny little output transformers. The speakers were usually 32 Ohms, wired in parallel for an 8 Ohm load to the transformer. For a fatter tone you could install the Fender "Universal" 50W OT with 2, 4 & 8 Ohm taps, the pilot holes for the larger transformer are probably already on the chassis. Then you would have a better OT and the ability to a set of 8 Ohm Super Reverb speakers (or others) if you desired. Or you could go for an "even better" replacement O.T., perhaps Mercury Mag, or ???

          I never thought to check that out, thanks for that advice Rick. I took another look and the OT does seem a bit miniscule. I'll check out the the universal xformer and the MM option as well.
