greetings from a new reader. great site!
I thought someone might be interested in my recent experience with the epiphone galaxy 10. Got one that sounds "flubby", or not enough clean volume, or too muddy sounding? Open it up and take a look at that output transfomer! Is that the same OT they put in the 5 watter? I ordered a 10 watt Hammond replacement from Torres (twice the physical size!)for 26 bucks, put it in, along with a 50 pico cap from pin 1 to pin 8 on the 12AX7 (for stability) and BEHOLD! a worthy blues amp! I put in a line out jack, and went to the jams.
