  • Peavey VTM Output Switching

    Howdy!

I have a peavey vtm 120 I finally fixed, and was wondering how the schematic would look in order to ditch the automatic tap switching in order to have separate taps. I would like to run a 4ohm 4x12 and an 8 ohm 2x12. Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you want to run a 4 and 8 ohm cab at the same time, you will be a little mis-matched no matter what. That gives you about 2.7ohm load. The 4 ohm cab will get more power.
The minimum tap of the OT is 4 ohm.
You don't need to do any re-wiring, just plug your cabs into the 3rd and 4th jacks. That will run the 4 ohm tap.

Oh, sweet, thank you! Impedance and anything dealing with the transformer is always what gets me tripped up!
