I was referring to RG’s suggestion to feed signal back from the source and boot strapping it.

So did I.
What I'm saying is that the gate circuit impedance is essentially determined by the signal source impedance (around 100k) and the bootstrapping will not make much difference to that.
It's like 100k in parallel with 1M compared to 100k in parallel with 100M.

Neat thread. I'm working on an SVT build right now, single channel and I won't need the Pre Out jack - can I omit the 6C4 altogether, connecting C20 to the 12DW7 grid (power amp V1)

Output impedance is essentially 6.8k in parallel with 47k, so around 6k.
The impedance can't be larger than the DCR to ground (follows from Thevenin's rules).

That should work as you don't need channel mixing.
