  • Presence control noisy

Got a little problem with my presence control (see attached schematic) I don't know if I may be missing something but I am getting a lot of track noise, like DC noise. The control seems to work OK and I've checked against other well known circuits which have the same arrangement.
Any ideas guys? as this is the last problem with this amp. (there's been quite a few !!)

    Thanks for looking

You've got the circuit wrong, DC is flowing through VR6. You just need to disconnect the lower ground lead from VR6, don't connect that lower lead it to anything.

      Noisy Control

      Thanks Russ
I've been staring at this circuit all afternoon and it's so obvious when someone points to the answer. I had problems with this presence control from the word go. Someone had modified (cut ) the pcb tracks in several places, effectively reversing the control action (Why???).
Because I had no original schematic, I had to trace the whole circuit from scratch. I obviously made an error on my drawing, then ,like an idiot, followed my own incorrect drawing. Doh!!!

      Thanks again
