testing chokes

Is there a simple DVM test to determine the value [mH] of a used unknown value choke? I have several from a "junk box" score ranging physically from small to BIG.
Also have some nos PTs unmarked. I don't have a problem setting up a test "jig" to determine voltages, but how would one go about determining the A/mA capabilities of these?

some multimeter units can measure inductance. the inductance level will drop a bit as current passes through, so it wouldnt be the working level, but it will give you a reasonable idea.
