  • Measured Zoom G9.2tt voltages

I know this not your normal tube topic but FYI I thought to share the findings in this unit. As the unit uses a 15 Vac wall transformer I wasn't expecting high plate voltages (unless there was an EH torriodial in there) but alike the Rocktron Silver Dragon there are unconventional readings.
    Plate: 9 Volts
    Grids: -11.5 V
    Cathode: -11.4
    Filiments: -11.9

I guess I'd sooner have low powered tubes than none at all but with this thing there's likely a few chips prior to the grid so you don't hear alot of glass but it is the best POD style modeler to date. I swapped out the 12ax7s and tried out some lower gain tubes which definitley sounded better. (is there a spell check here?)
Also, I'm reviewing the iAXE 393 and it is a VERY good sounding $99 tool. The Guitar Rig Fender amps sound dang nice.
