I have an urge to put a push-pull output section in a Vibro-Champ, to make it like a tiny non-reverb Princeton, except maybe with cathode bias and no neg FB. It seems to me this could be done without having to add any tube sockets by
a) building a small rectifier with diodes or using a Weber copper cap module; and
b) using an interstage transformer for a phase inverter. (According to something I read in a Gerald Weber book if I use a transformer with a 1:2 winding ratio I can get some gain out of it too.) and
c) changing the OT of course.
Any thoughts about and/or "cons" to this idea?
