  • Matchless Style Tremolo with Fixed Bias?

Is it possible to have a Matchless style tremolo in a fixed bias setup? I assume that have the modulating voltage of the trem connecting to the negative voltage of the bias supply would wreck havoc. Is my thinking correct? Here is a schematic of the Matchless Hurricane.

WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.

Probably better called Bias Modulation than Matchless-type, but here are more examples: http://www.lynx.bc.ca/~jc/tremoloCircuits.html
I'm a Vibrolux fan myself. There's a Custom Shop version of it in the link.
