  • peavey vk112/tonelab le question...

ok, obviously i own a vk112 because of this question.
i have a boss me70 but i really love the tonelab le.
i was told that if i hooked up a tonelab to my tube amp
that i would fry my pre-amp because of the vox's 12ax7.
i want to know if i can use a tonelab with my tube amp?
i really want a tonelab for some gigs but i don't want to part with my amp
    or my me70.
so basically can you run 12ax7 pre-amp to tub amp pre-amp,
and keep a killer warm sound. or will it fry like i was told?

also do tube amps sometimes/ever/normally make a crackling noise
    while sitting idle off standby?

tube preamps can normally take a likin and keep on kikin. just make sure you know when to say no. that's when obnoxious sounds happen.
The cracking sound after standby off means as the voltage dies in the amp some connection somewhere is shouting ahhhhhh.
