• Where are the really old Fender Transformer specs?

Hello!

I was looking at a Princeton 5F2-A schematic, and the transformer numbers are:

Power 66079
Output 265

Is there anyone out there with specs for these, or other older transformers? Some of the older schems, like the 5E3 don't even reference a number. How do you know what the specs are? I have found the Fender XFMR chart, and info on the 125*** series and 022***, but no others. Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

Not sure where the actual old fender model numbers and specs are but tubesandmore.com has a page that claims to have the genuine info

tubesandmore.com or call 480-820-5411 or fax 800-706-6789/480-820-4643 TRANSFORMERS ? Guitar Amp

Thanks for the link. I have looked at tubesandmore.com, which shows a Princeton Reverb trans, which is a push pull circuit. I'm looking for the Class A Princeton. I'm trying to compare differences to the Champ circuit. The info might not even be out there. But thanks to anyone who might offer some info!

For a traditional 5F2A PT with a 6V6 and a 12AX7, you can get away with anything between 310-0-310 to 330-0-330 @ 60mA (the lower one gives you around 340VDC B+) , 6.3VAC @ 2A, and 5VAC @ 2A (for the 5Y3GT), and a single-ended 5W-15W OT with a Pri Zed of 8K with whatever secondaries for the speaker(s) you are using

Tweed Princeton OTs seem to be one of the most commonly replaced OTs, suggesting that they weren't really up to the job. Factory fix was to use a PP OT wired for 8ohm load...or follow Tubeswell's advice on a beefier SE OT.
