Just because I wanted to see if these JFETs were actually the problem or not, I ordered some of the J175 (supposed replacement for the discontinued J174) for Q5 and Q9 and put them in tonight. It still works so my bet is Q5 was the culprit all along. Back to the store it goes tomorrow! Again, I thank you all for your help.
