  • 4 channel leslie amp...

G'day all.... I'm a keys player, and just picked up a couple of crappy rotosonic leslies for a bargain price; in order to convert and modify them... a model 130, and a model 610; so not the classic ones. However the 610 is a 147 cabinet, but even better is that it has a 4 channel, 64 watt tube amp. The schematic is here...http://www.captain-foldback.com/Lesl...matics/610.gif

So my question is; What does one do with a 4 channel amp? I intend to replace the spekers in the leslie and run it with a bassman 100 head, unless there's a way to wire the the four channels into two speakers. Or a stereo satellite tremolo thing would be pretty cool also. Any ideas?
    Cheers, Jim

This is a pretty freaky setup - yeah, there are 4 amplifiers, but #1 and #3 are run in parallel to drive the upper speaker (tweeter). #2 drives the pedal speaker (subwoofer?) and #4 drives the lower speaker (woof) or a 6x9. In one relay position, #4 drives the woof and #2 the sub, in the other position #2 drives the sub and the woof, and #4 drives a 6x9.

    Odd.

I'd be inclined to either run parallel pairs to upper and lower, or go with 2 cabs and 4 channels.

    Hope this helps!
