  • 6X4 output voltage

Im currently building a 5f2 style amp utilizing a 6x4 rectifier tube. As for the wiring part, I have only gotten the power supply done and nothing else. I need some input from you guys to confirm that my voltage readings are on the right track. The two plates on the 6x4 read exactly 300VAC each. This is yielding 404VDC at the cathode and first filter cap/choke. Just to be sure, that does seem like a reasonable number under no load correcct?

voltage seems ok. I wouldn't use more than 10uf in the first stage of filtering. Best of luck with your project!

Thank you booj. Yea I've got 8uF Sprague Atoms across the board. Im hoping that voltage will get knocked significantly under a load
