I just finished putting together my first amp from main components. I bought the circuit board complete, but I had to solder/connect everything else. It is a Blues Junior.
Had some strange noises after playing for 30 minutes, but that stopped and it has been fine ever since. I couldn't find a chassis for it so I fabricated one from an old Peavey. I removed all the tube ribbon wire and replaced it with individual wires.
Now the situation/challenge : I just got a Fender cabinet ( 20 3/4 x 17 x 9 ) with a 12 in. Celestion speaker. ( Fender Logo is "short" tail ).
Chassis measurement/cutout is 19 x 8 x 1 3/4.
What Fender tube chassis would be best to use? I want to do a point-to-point design, maybe like the Musicmaster Bass Amp or similar, possibly with reverb since I have 2 extra tanks.
I am guessing this was a Silverface, but can not find any Fender chassis that has those measurements.
Thanks for your help
