headphone jack?

This may be a dumb question, but I just want to be sure.

I have a B52 Stealth 60 head (all tube). I was wondering if it is safe to use the headphone jack without having a load on the outputs (aka, a speaker cab or dummy load plugged in). Does it rest the load on the headphones then or do I need to get some big 100 watt resistors for the speaker outs?

Just moved into an apartment and I was hoping to practice with phones. This amp's loud!

Keep it plugged in! If you use the headphone jack and no sound comes out, cool. If the speaker still make noise, you needed them plugged in.
