    I learned that trick from you many years ago, very useful, and I use a cheap metronome, or guitar tuner with a 440 pitch for that.

      Yep, signals are everywhere. I really only need a signal generator if I am doing something specific.
      Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
