KT88/6550 mounting considerations

Hi,

I read somewhere thet it's not recommended for some tubes to be mounted horizontally (like in a rack amp) so I was wondering if KT88/6550s are among these?

Horizontally mounted KT88's are OK if you follow a few guidelines. Cf. page 5 of the datasheet: http://www.tubezone.net/pdf/kt88new.pdf

Thanks for pointing to this particular datasheet. The one that I have doesn't mention anything about mounting.
