I have a Hammond 272fx 300-0-300 @ 150ma and I would like to know how to determine what size choke to use? or if I even need one. What is the advantage of a choke opposed to another RC circuit? Also, when you get a matched pair of pentodes there are two numbers on the box, what do these numbers represent?

I don't know what the two numbers are for.
You want a choke rated for enough amps for the circuit down stream. Usually that will be the power tube screens and any preamp tubes. Choke will have better filtering compared to just a resistor in it's place. Only exception would be a single ended design.
