I have a yvm-1 and it's layout doesn't exactly match this schmatic.
I'm rewiring much of the amp, and I wondered if there's any advantage to doing it this way, specifically the first section of the power supply seems to have 2 40uf caps in parallel. This means that those 2 caps are effectively filtering as if being one 80uf cap, right?
In my amp there was previously just one 40uf cap in that part.
Is there any reason I shouldn't put the two 40uf caps in parallel?
I know with tube rectification it would damage the rectification tube, but with diode rectification there's no problem with doing this right?
I see it as an advantage, probably meaning less ripple in the b+.
