quick dropping resistor question

    Try putting in low value caps across the cathode resistors of the first two stages...anywhere from 0.47 - 1uF should suffice. This will help to shelve low frequencies early on yet give you a boost on everything from the low mids on up. Also maybe try a 0.0047uF on the 2nd stage coupling cap with and without the bypass cap on that stage.
