  • Boost converter

I am studying the circuit board with a TDA2050 chip and the operating voltage is 40v. Would a variable boost converter be a sensible way of achieving this from a 12v car battery?

Yes, but expect problems with switching noise and grounding. Done properly, it will work fine.
Amazing!! Who would ever have guessed that someone who villified the evil rich people would begin happily accepting their millions in speaking fees!

Oh, wait! That sounds familiar, somehow.

Indeed. ...And that's how many car amps power themselves. Otherwise it would be pretty much impossible to achieve modest output power to a 4 - 8 ohm loads using only a 12VDC supply.

I am looking into getting this Step Up booster Think this would do the trick? Perhaps it could be screened somehow? The capacitor looks pretty big
