Hi,
Brand new to the site and hoping someone can solve a mystery for me.
Over the past several decades, I've owned just about ever good combo amp under the sun. Recently though, I've been really turned on by a lot of the new low wattage heads that have become available. In the past couple of months, somehow my house has become full of them.
Having not used heads and cabs in the past, I never had to think about things like impedance. I am smart enough to get the basics right. Most of these heads and their associated cabs are 16 ohms. No problems there.
I have an issue though - space. I'm totally running out of it.
So, I happened to notice that most of the cabs I have have multiple 16 ohm inputs. Seemed logical that I could plug head a into one input and head b into the other.
Both heads would never be turned on at the same time.
But I did some reading and found that the extra inputs really seem to actually be outputs - so you can run a second cab.
So I haven't tried this yet, fearing damage to one of the heads.
Can I do this? In the imortal words of Zell, "Is it safe?"
Thanks,
Greg
