    yes and no.

the yahoo TWRECK group is indeed the best online repository of information available. both the files database and the message database contain very useful reference information. having been a member there for a long time, i can still access all of the information there. it would appear that you can not access the information because it has always been a closed group, and because Omar turned off new user registrations.

you are correct in that the 'amp garage' is the privately owned portal that he is using to replace the yahoo group. if you're interested in reading the information that exists in the TWRECK group at yahoo, you might want to ask them to change the status of the yahoo group from private and inactive to public and inactive. that would allow anyone to read it, while keeping anyone from being able to post there. but insofar as fixing the problem represents a conflict of interest for the amp garage guy, don't get your hopes up. he may want to keep that information out of reach in order to force you to his privately owned site.

"I happen to have an original 1955 Stratocaster! The neck and body have been replaced with top quality Warmoth parts, I upgraded the hardware and put in custom, hand wound pickups. It's fabulous. There's nothing like that vintage tone or owning an original." - Chuck H
