I haven't liked the tapers on the Weber pots for volume or tone controls, but maybe they will work better for a trem.
For myself and my own circuits, that mosfet source follower should work well, so thanks for posting it tubeswell!
For you and your tube only situation Chuck, you could always spec out a tube with more capability that is a different number such as a 12BZ7. Then the owner always has to use NOS types. They are cheap and readily available nowadays though that won't always be the case I'm sure! I know it makes it more difficult but I had to be helpful right?
