Easy to use schematic maker software?

The reason people offer free downloads on the internet is simple:
1. To plant spyware in your computer.
2. To steal your personal information, and sell it to spammers, telemarketers, and junk mailers (ala facebook).
3. To hold your computer hostage (ransom ware) until you pay the "fee."
4. To steal your passwords, credit card numbers, and bank account.
If you have been gullible enough to load these free programs into your computer, save your personal files to a thumb drive, reformat the entire hard drive (bulk erase recommended), and load a fresh operating system. That is one of the (few) ways to get rid of it.
The majority of this malicious software cannot be deleted, prevents your drive from being reformatted, turns off system restore, etc, etc...

I still like the Free SUPERAntiSpyware.
I use this in conjunction with McAfee 64 bit Anti Virus.
I use firefox browser with several Add Ons.
The Add Ons are Add Block Plus, Add Block Plus Pop Up, and Do Not Track Plus, softwares.
Since I have ran all of these together My computer has been very stable.
Who Knows it My Blow up, any Minute.

You could use sandboxie, it runs your program in an isolated virtual windows environment that can't make any registry changes or any changes to your computer outside the sandbox. I have used it to bypass the time limit on trial software that won't let you uninstall/reinstall to get another trial period. Like engine analyzer pro, a cool engine dyno software that costs 469 bucks but the trial is the full version that lasts only 10 days. You run the program in the sandbox and after ten days it stops working but you just delete the sandbox and can reinstall it in a new sandbox with another 10 days.

Best way to avoid a virus? Don't visit porn sites... I used to be a computer tech most of my business was fixing peoples computer after they or someone they know was watching porn on there computer...

What is the fun in that!
I go wherever I like, using some common sense.
I don't do anything that loads an executable.
I like the firefox private browsing mode.
Anyway, that is what I do, and I have had good luck doing it!
Do whatever works for you, I do.

i would recommend Cadsoft EAGLE to you. In my eyes its the best schematic editor.
It is easy to lern and easy to use. just give it a try.

JSchem

Cross-platform and free. Not the prettiest but works just fine, and it seems to be the preferred schematic capture program over at Hoffman's with lots of drawings posted, so it is very easy to cut and paste to come up with new designs rapidly.

I just use LTSpice, and print as a PDF. While the resulting schematics aren't strictly the prettiest, they are nevertheless perfectly functional -- and since LTSpice is also (primarily) a sim, you have the option of simulating the circuit (or most commonly, sub-circuits) as you go. Oh, it's also free to download and use, and comes from a reputable source.

A little bit of research should be in order before jumping to superstition. There's this thing called Open Source Software. I think it may catch on one day... Seriously dude. Your TV, Car radio, missile control systems, sonars, and these days maybe even your microwave are built around the stuff.

gEDA/gSchem/PCB/et al have been around a looong time, and the source has been freely available for several decades, and it's developed in the open.

I'm getting interested in KiCad, an Open Source equivalent to Eagle.
Modern, free, stripped of unnecessary features, is slowly becoming a "de facto" standard around Hobby Groups (Robotics guys and such)
Not into it yet, (still using now legally free AutoTrax1.61) but DOS based siftware does not run beyond XP.
I think Kicad runs in Linux (its native system), Windows (which I have), and Mac.

It would be nice to normalize on a good but non proprietary system as that, to be able to freely exchange projects among us ... and with many others.
Personally found Eagle counter intuitive and the very small PCBs available with the Free version are unusable in Guitar Amp design (good for Pedals, though).
