I was investigating sources of cheap power supply and in checking to see how easy it would be to rewind the secondary on this low voltage malibu lighting transformer I noticed it was air gapped! This might be cool for a se output transformer since guitars don't really need full 20-20000 hz bandwith.. With a 10:1 turns ratio maybe it might work for 2 (or 3?) 6l6 in parallel with a 16 ohm speaker as is or you could unwind several turns from the secondary for higher impedance. I am going to try it..
