  • Any rare/cool schematics out there?

Anyone up for some schematic trading? I'm mainly interested in high gain amps (specifically Bogner Uberschall, Shiva, anything VHT, anything Diezel, misc designer mods, ect), but anything that isn't public is cool with me. I've got a few rare ones myself to trade, so PM me if anyone is interested, or e-mail me someonestoleabettername@yahoo.com

Bump bump bump.... To generate some interest, here's what I've got: a Bogner preamp that is named after a creature that can only smile like a donut I also have non public schems for: Naylor, Budda, ZVex, Framus, Bluesland, CAE, Jose Arredondo, Mesa Boogie (I have a schematic of a MarkIIC- that I drew out if anyone wants it, I actually sent it to mesa/boogie because they didn't even have it on file when I asked for one a couple years ago, Mike B. was very pleased). So yeah, if anyone's interested, get in touch.

Why don't you do the world a favor and post your rare schematics? If their only value is trading cards, it does no one much good.
Amazing!! Who would ever have guessed that someone who villified the evil rich people would begin happily accepting their millions in speaking fees!

Oh, wait! That sounds familiar, somehow.

If I were to post everything I've got, then I wouldn't be able to get anything else in the future because I would only have what everyone else has already to trade for it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not possessive about what I have (with a few trades I've done, I've given like half of what I have in return for like 1 or 2 schems because the person I was trading with diddn't have them) its just the simple fact that in order to get, one must give. As for the trading card comparison, I must agree with you on that bit(though with an exception about how it doesn't do anyone much good; I can't see it doing anyone wrong either, can you?) that collecting schematics sort of has the same appeal as collecting anything else, my only purpose to have schematics is for curiosity and reference sake.

All I want is Bruces tubes, RG's lab and Enzo's schematics and part's and maybe Ted's speaker collection and I'm good.

Not a day goes by that I don't get a couple schematic requests. I fill all that I have in my files. And i am on a slow dial up line! I have never asked for so much as a dime, grandma's cheesecake recipe, or a date with someone's sister for them. We routinely swap schematics around here, and I don't recall anyone asking for something in return other than a thank you. I don't understand where this "I can't get something without a trade" idea comes from.

There are sites out there like Schematic Heaven, where all the schematics Larry can find are up for free downloads. I have filled several empty spots on his want list. Steve Ahola has a lot of drawing up on his site, and as soon as I find one I think he would like, I forward it along so he can post it for all to use.

SO what do you mean you would not be able to get any in the future? I would certainly send you any that I have simply for the asking.

Man I tell you what Enzo, you saved my arsss the other day. I had asked you for some jacks I couldn't find for nothing because Fender was out and it was a rare jack. Enzo sent me some various types to try and I finally found one somewhere. I had an amp come in the other day and a 9 pin jack was broke off and stripped. I looked in the box Enzo sent me and low and behold there it was bigger than s@#$ so yeah ,Enzo never asked me for any cash or any shipping charge or nothing, just shipped me a box of jacks but hey guess what ? If he ever needs anything Its there just let me know and that's just the way it is. But wanted to tell you again Enzo I really appreciated that box.

anybody happen to have the schematic for a Matchless RV-1 Reverb? No plans to clone it or anything but just curious how they used the 6AL5 (tiny rectifier tube).

That's why I made the "Trading cards" analogy.

It's a juvenile thing, I believe, the idea that ...I... can snooker other people out of more secret stuff and have a better and more complete collection than anyone else. Think of the Yu-Gi-Oh subculture and holding the magic cards of power. There are little groups of people who achieve status within the group by having things others can't. Every ten- to fourteen-year-old goes through. Some don't grow out of it.

My question was really designed to test the mental age of the poster.

I question the intentions of a poster that joins the forum and of his first 5 posts, 4 of them are asking to trade schematics. It might have gone over better if you had tried to become part of the community first, before asking.

This smacks of that guy a couple of years ago that downloaded all the schematic heaven stuff and then sold it on ebay.

I have a variety of schematics in my collection and anybody is welcome to them, I don't ask anything in return.

A lot of guys on this forum have given me schematics without asking anything in return, even to the point of snailmailing them to me.
                      Stop by my web page!

sorry to tell you this, but all the rare schematics are gone.

seems a bunch of guys have been trading them so much they're now commonplace.

I've been on the ampage forum for 3 years or so, but I haven't been as active as I used to be in the old forum since the new forum started. The reason being that my computer died last year and I have just recently been able to have regular internet access. I started a thread exactly like this 2 years ago which was pretty successful for not only me, but the for the group of people I was trading with as well. The whole point of what I want to do is not to amass an enviable collection that is thanklessly fueled by other peoples schematics, I'm not in this to earn a sense of accomplishment by having a collection that is better than everyone else's. The way I usually trade is I send you what you want, you send me the schematic for amp x, amp x schem is traded with someone else for amp y and amp z schematics, because your amp x schematic was used to trade for amp y and amp z, I send you amp y and amp z schematics. Like I said, I'm not in this for any reason other than having schematics for reference/research/curiosity, I don't 'snooker' people out of their schematics to build my own collection to eclipse all others, thats just ridiculous, I have given away more schematics to people than I have gotten myself, half the time without trading, and that's fine with me, whatever, its not like anyone's losing or gaining physical property, its just file sharing, if I give you a schematic its not like I lose it.

I think what the poster is wanting is schematics of bootique amps that people have put a lot of time and effort into designing so they will be their own.If I'm correct and you want these circuits, learn how they work and figure it out on your own. You'll learn a lot and be better off for it.It's kind of like a guitar palyer wanting someone else to tab out a song for him.
If you need a schematic for any circuit for purposes of working on that amp there are plenty of people here who will frely help you out.Including myself.
If you just want to clone some one elses hard work then best of luck to you but don't call me.

                              Whatever.

So... if I needed a schematic for something, and you had it, and posted a thread and a request for it, I would have to give you something in order to get it? Screw that.

If so, yer in the minority around here, son. Like I said, join the community for a while and you'll find you'll get what you need, and maybe even what you want.

Right now you are acting like a mercenary prick.
