    RCA brought out a tube manual every year or two, but the last/latest one was RC-30, which is the reprint available from a number of sources. From 1971 maybe? ANyone who works with tubes ought to have a copy of this book. There is also an older one available, RC-19 I think, but it is from the 1950s and does not cover more modern tubes like 6550 and EL34.

    I still have a number of them from back in the 1950s 1960s and 1970, so I don't look for them. I know they sell the RC-30 at Antique Electronic Supply LLC among others. it may well be scanned and available for free online. I like the book so I can leaf through it and see what is there. That is harder to do with an online scan. Then again the book is $30-35 or something.
    Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
