I have a very tight layout to work with and am down to having to place a (double) can cap very close to the OT, i.e. the cap jacket will be approx 1/4" from the corner of the core laminations. I'm concerned that it may cause surges in the B+ being filtered by those caps, or worse. It is an octal-based cap and the jacket is not tied to ground. The chassis is a conversion project.
Is my concern legitimate? What if any effect do you think the OT will have on these two B+ leads? The leads supply the preamp and PI/driver.
