  • Can I use this EMI Filter IEC receptactle on my amp (rating question)

I have an old Belling Lee L2133C/S lying around; can I use it on my Peavey Classic 50?
Amp is rated at 200 watts.
Here are the specs for the filter:
    Product Information

    Capacitance: 15000pF
    Current Rating: 2A
    Filter Terminals: Quick Connect
    Filter Type: General Purpose
    Inductance Min: 3mH
    Leakage Current Max: 500ľA
    Voltage Rating: 250V

    Will this work?
    Thanks!

If the Peavey pulls 200 watts from the outlet, that's 1.67 amps @ 120Vac.

    So, yeah, it should work.

Thanks. That's what I thought, but the 250V on the thing threw me off...

        Belling Lee L2133C/S

The 250V rating is the maximum voltage the device can withstand.

          Thanks.
No such thing as a stupid question, right?

            Nope.
It is usually the 'answers' that fall into that category.

Easy now! I resemble that remark.
