Cascade V1 in 18 watt lite

I recently built an 18 watt lite amp . I wired up my V1 as a parallel triode . I was looking for more gain/distortion and heard about cascading the 12ax7. does anyone have a layout/schematic of how to wire a cascaded 12ax7 in a single channel amp (if this is even possible in a single channel amp).

Parallel triodes don't amount to enough gain boost to be noteworthy. There IS a difference in feel and tone as anyone who has tried it will agree, Cascading the stages instead isn't complicated. Just set up each triode like a typical cathode biased gain stage and tweak from there. I'd be surprised if AX84 doesn't already have multiple discussions regarding this exact mod.

Is 18 watt.com still up? Used to be a lot of schematics and builds there. Or you could just use a boost/overdrive pedal like I do and save yourself the trouble.

Thank you everyone for your input. I think I will stick with single triode with parallel option. I will be working on adding 2 more el84's to see what it sounds like. What I built is more or less a copy of the weber smokin joe ii . I added extra 12ax7 to switch between parallel and cascode (not cascade).

My main and first built 18 watt 2x12 combo I wired up with a relay so you can footswitch between the first stage being paralleled or cascaded and it sounds incredible.
