I found that I could get less noise by using them. That was 30 years ago.
Why do you think so many distributors are selling them for guitar amps? Because of me.

I started the trend, so blame me exclusively. I'm guilty as charged.
I am the ONE who did it. I put the idea in motion.

The $10,000 Marshall plexi clone, with all silver mica caps? All custom made to military specs?
That's me too. It's ALL my fault.
    Say what?!!!

First you must define "better". They may sound different from the stock ones but whether it's better or not is entirely your decision.

The frequency response is much better, better low frequency
and the transformer are built very nicely with good materials,
and there is Teflon silver plated copper wire leads...
Same thing here. "Better" low freq and/or high frequency response may yield a very unpleasant result so "the more the better" doesn't apply every time.

MM is just an aggressive marketing company selling overpriced transformers. Do they worth the money? My opinion: NO!

BUT most of the people who talk about this...
don't even know HOW to play electric guitar.
        Which amazes me even further.

Everyone can be helpful, if only as bad examples.
Amazing!! Who would ever have guessed that someone who villified the evil rich people would begin happily accepting their millions in speaking fees!

Oh, wait! That sounds familiar, somehow.

Although mindless, misinformative, and now delusional drivel; I do find it somewhat entertaining.....in a bearded lady, lizard boy, 3 headed sloth, circus sideshow sort of way.

It's hard to take your eyes off of the man who has gone well past swallowing his foot and is seemingly going for the entire leg.

Yes, the only problem is for "newbies" who are unaware of the SGM NPD. Maybe the forum moderators could force an SGM signature that says, "This post is for entertainment purposes only. No truthful or technical information of any value is contained herein".

The frustrating thing about SGM is that he does have some grains of truth when he's not out standing in his own field. Some of his posts contain things that are not all that crazy. He's got some experience, and some useful observations. But the usable, true stuff gets obscured by the ... um... well, you-know stuff.

I'm pretty sure it's not a second ID for mooreamps. The writing styles are way too different.

I was going to point out the "broken clock analogy". Then I realized it's actually more like a broken record.

As a former bearded lady and a member of the American Chamber of Circus Sideshowman, I take offense at your comment.

About the tranny face off... Any one here ever seen a Bode plot or frequency response? I don't have a 'golden' ear, but I often fool myself into thinking yes I hear that, when I got a plot of the response in front of me.
