Hi fellas. I have a modded JTM 60 that I just love. My question is what did this mod do for me and can I improve on it? The red values are what have been changed. the Pdf is all original. All mods came from a fella named Gunner on a different and now defunct forum. Thanks in advance,Greg

It's hard to say what's been changed without the original values indicated. I could take the time to look up a stock schem and then bounce between that one and yours, but I won't.
Just guessing based on experience, the mods are doing a few things that all amount to reducing buzzy-ness in the preamp clipping and focusing the bottom end for more definition."Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo
"Now get off my lawn with your silicooties and boom-chucka speakers and computers masquerading as amplifiers" Justin Thomas
"If you're not interested in opinions and the experience of others, why even start a thread?
You can't just expect consent." Helmholtz

Oh... Sorry. I guess that slipped past me. I thought they would be the same thing for some reason. My bad."Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo

Looking at the two schematics...
I'll stand by what I posted before and add that the mod seems to include removing a diode clipper. So, changes the clipping, and probably reduces it a little. All tube clipping now."Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo

Thanks chuck. Yeah I know about the deleted clipping diodes and that the distortion is now from the tubes. I've changed the schematic to include the original values. I guess what I'm asking is how is this different from the original set-up? Sorry for the newbie questions but I'd like to know more about how this amp does what it does. Thanks again, Greg
