Would it be possible to use an LND150 MOSFET as a high voltage audio switch, similar to how JFETs are used in low voltage designs?
My primary goal would be to use it for a simple noise gate in an amp where signal voltages would be too high for JFETs.
I can see from the datasheet that the on resistance is relatively high (850 ohms), but that would probably be OK for my purposes.
Or are there other types of devices more suitable? I'm guessing that Vactrols would be too slow for a noise gate.
