pot question

I looked in RG's info, and did not see it. Did he write the "Secret Life Of Pots".?
Anyway, I know this seems obvious, but.......when you talk about a Pot being:
CW
or
CCW
1. Does that mean.....looking at the pot from the "front", as if you were playing the amp.?
2. Then does CW mean you are turning the pot in a CW direction.....if the pot were at '12' Noon, and you turn it to '5' O'clock is that turning the pot in a CW direction.?
Would fully CW mean going from 12 Noon to 1 -2 - 3- 4 -5 etc etc until the pot stopped.....just as though you were talking about hands on a clock.?
CCW then would be the opposite.

I never thought of the potentiometer itself as being CW or CCW.
It has more to do with the schematic drawing to indicate function.

Pots are not CW or CCW types or anything, but CW and CCW when drawn on the schematic with an arrow do refer to rotation of the pot shaft as seen from the front.
