  • Blackstar Artisan EQ and low power design switch questions

    Hi ,

I was looking at the Artisan 15 and 30 schematics and wanted to know a couple of things

    1. How the low power 5/15 and 10/30 switches work

    2. Why the EQ or tone have an addition al path that bypasses one stage.

Has anyone implemented these things in one of their designs?

    Cheers

The low power switch shunts one side of the phase inverter signal to ground, effectively making the amp single ended.

The loop around the gain stage looks like a negative feedback loop that limits gain and lowers the output impedance of the stage.
