My coincidence I have one on the bench right now so I measured the power consumption.

    At idle, 78W 93VA
    At 10% duty 83W 98VA
    At 100% duty 133W 154VA ( i.e. continuous full output power)
Experience is something you get, just after you really needed it.

C'mon Juan, Americans like Joss Stone, and she is neither fat nor dark, and certainly is easy to look at.

Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

Transformers are easy to find in any open market in Turkey, they will be cheaper there then buying in the US. In the US it is assumed it is for a traveler and marketed as for the travel industries which means higher make up. If you are using the cheap autotransformers the next standard size from 150va is 500 and not much more in cost or weight.
But the real reason to buy there is the core will be intended for 50hz so less heat, and stiffer line regulation. Sure it will be Chinese but so is everything in electronics now, even if it has a Made in USA label.
Amps are more expensive in Turkey however. But if he is going to spend the summer working, buying one there and selling it before living or keeping it in storage until the next tour is one way to have "his" amp available all the time without shipping by the very hard-on-gear if, if-it-is-fragile-add-extra-abuse cargo handling on US air carriers(ask any guitarist who takes guitars on planes). A guitar case will not protect any but a cast iron guitar from baggage handlers and their insurance does not cover instruments. If he insists on traveling with a guitar, remove all the strings and get a puncture proof, double walled carrier, not a guitar case. I have been to Turkey many times and never had problems with baggage on that end but often on the US end. If he want to take his amp the flight case will have to be a real flight case which will cost far more than his amp, or it will be destroyed. When large shows travel they use palletized cargo lines so their gear is handled by people and equipment that protects shipments by not dealing with loose items. A properly stacked pallet, properly wrapped and locked down in the cargo hold, is about the only way to safely ship anything by air.
